About the Author
D. M. Sonntag majored in biomedical sciences and minored in creative writing, calling herself an “analyst by day, author by night.” She identifies as a poetic weirdo who's obsessed with pirates, the Witcher, Lord of the Rings, and owls. She's inspired by authors like J. K. Rowling and C. S. Lewis, not only in the letters of her pen name but in the worldbuilding and message writing. She loves unleashing the stories trapped inside her mind during early mornings while drinking coffee at the vintage desk bought from an antique shop, but is constantly scheming words and concepts into sticker-covered journals. She has been creating stories as far back as she can remember, and is thrilled to be able to put all the fantasy living in her mind onto paper, starting with her debut novel, “The Lightning Bride.” She lives more in her mind than reality, but her physical presence resides in South Carolina with her husband, dog-in-law, and the wild birds gracing her with their presence in the backyard.
